Luxembourg Exotics is a small, private breeding project based in Germany, specialising in tarantulas, colubrids and geckos.

Our fascination with animals showed itself in early childhood. That fascination is ultimately what led us to found Luxembourg Exotics. Our love for animals isn't limited to reptiles, of course — it spans the whole animal kingdom, from mammals all the way to insects. That said, each of us has our own preferences within that world. Keeping animals has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember — whether dogs, cats, or turtles. Keeping more exotic animals fascinated us so much that, in 2022, one of us decided to keep a tarantula as a pet. Because arachnid keeping often goes hand in hand with reptile keeping, it didn't take long before we were completely taken with reptiles too. Snakes in particular captivated us. Today our collection consists of various tarantula species from both the New and Old World, along with a few snakes and geckos. Going forward, we plan to take in further reptiles and expand the collection — additional snakes are on the agenda, as is keeping various gecko species. In Luxembourg, keeping terrarium animals isn't very well known — you don't really find animals for sale, nor terrariums and the accessories that go with them. That's why we've taken on the educational mission of teaching people about these animals and easing any fears they may have, so we can make these often-misunderstood creatures more popular and better appreciated — and, in turn, draw attention to the natural conditions in which they live. This educational goal isn't limited to Luxembourg, of course, but extends to the whole world.
